WWYDW: Time To Look At Paul Maurice Again

Welcome to this week’s version of What Would You Do Wednesday where you are asked a question and debate among yourselves what the answer is. Unfortunately, the only prize you will receive will be the most Twitter mentions.
For this week’s What Would You Do Wednesday, I am posing the question: Do the Jets need to look at firing Paul Maurice?
It is that time of the year where we have to question the stability of Paul Maurice’s position of head coach.
The past stretch of games have not fared well for the Jets and it’s time to start looking at Paul Maurice. The Jets have had significant injuries, but Bryan Little has returned as well as Mathieu Perreault with little or no difference in play. As well, Jacob Trouba signed his contract extension and rejoined the Jets.
The question was asked earlier in the season if Paul Maurice should be relieved of head coach duties and the answer was no. However, the Jets have played a good chunk of the 2016-17 season and there is a sense that they should be better, despite their injuries. At 32 games in the Jets are 13-16-3.

The penalty kill is worse than last year, sitting in 26th at 77.6%. For the 2015-16 season, the Jets had a penalty kill percentage of 78.4%. For the power play, the Jets have a 15.1% conversion rate and that is good for 24th in the league.
Additionally, the Jets average 2.53 goals for, which is good for 19, and 2.97 goals against, good for 26th. For the 2015-16 season the Jets had 2.59 goals for and 2.88 goals against.
However, what is disturbing is so far the Jets have a 48.9% Corsi For percentage and in the 2015-16 season they had a 51.38% CF%.
Their special team numbers are worse, as is their puck control and they are scoring less goals. All of this is in spite Patrik Laine having scored 17 goals and Mark Scheifele scoring 14 goals. Good for 3rd and 7th respectively in goals scored.
The Jets have been inconsistent and if they wish to make the playoffs, they need to have consistent good play.
What Would You Do Jets Nation?
Is it time to pull the plug on Paul Maurice?
Does he get some leeway because of injuries and see if he can right the ship?
Do the Jets fire him at the end of the season if he cannot right the ship?
