Round One – Game Four
Jets lead series 2-1

What did the Jets do right in game three?
Not a lot. Ben Chiarot played horribly, they were undisciplined and could not make good plays. If the Jets want to win game 4 and go into Winnipeg with a 3-1 lead, they need to stay out of the penalty box. The Jets also need to vary their shot selection more, make Dubnyk and the Wild get out of position.
What did the Wild do wrong in game three?
The only thing the Wild did wrong in game three is win. No, the Wild did a lot of things right, which resulted in their win. 5v5, they were able to limit where the shots were coming from. They got under the Jets’ skin. They adjusted their neutral zone play to make the Jets force plays that weren’t there.
How do the Wild win game four?
If the Wild are able to exploit Ben Chiarot whenever he is on the ice, then there is a strong chance that they will be able to score some goals. As well, if the Wild are able to get under the Jets’ skin and take more penalties, this will take away from offensive zone time for the Jets.
How do the Jets win game four?
The big thing for the Jets is they failed miserably at staying out of the penalty box. If the Jets are able to be more disciplined, then they will be able to spend some more time in the offensive zone, which will lead to goals.
Another thing, the Jets need to vary their shot selection more. The broadcast mentioned that Dubnyk has a weak blocker side, which the Jets were able to exploit in previous games, however game 3 saw the Jets take the majority of 5v5 shots on the right side.
What others are saying
The Jets aren’t making any excuses and are coming out hot and ready for the Wild in game four, according to Brian Hall of the Globe and Mail.
The Jets didn’t make excuses. But a comment by Maurice on Monday demonstrated the difference between the first two games of the series and Sunday’s loss and why Winnipeg might be able to find its legs Tuesday night.“The foundation of our game is there’s a certain of speed that has to be involved and we didn’t skate particularly well [on Sunday] night,” Maurice said. “It’s the disease of slowness, and that’s what cost us the game.”
