The Jets and Sabres face off in a rematch from just this past Friday. With one team coming off a loss looking to break a losing streak and the other hoping to continue with the current win streak, we’re looking at a good game to kick off a road trip.

Winnipeg Jets (25-11-7)
@
Buffalo Sabres (10-23-9)

January 9, 2018 – Puck drop: 6:00 PM CST

Key Bank Arena – Buffalo NY.

TV: TSN3 – Radio: TSN 1290

Recently for the Jets…

The Jets are coming off a win against the San Jose Sharks that saw Roslovic draw in for his first home game of the season. The Jets scored 4, coasting to a 4-1 win over the Sharks. Goals came from Hendricks, Dano, and Perreault, showing off the depth the Jets have on offence. The Jets are currently riding a two game win streak that they are looking to continue. The lineup will stay the same as it was against San Jose except for one change.. Steve Mason is now your starting goalie for tonight.

Recently for the Sabres…

The Sabres are on a loss streak, which is familiar territory for them this season. The most recent loss came at the hands of the Flyers and it was a 4-1 loss. The lone goal was scored by Ryan O’Reilly. The game before that was the Friday game against the Jets and the team might look slightly different as injuries on defence will play a factor.

Recently between the two teams…

The Jets and Sabres faced each other just this past Friday in a high scoring affair that saw a total of 7 goals scored between the two teams. The Jets edged the Sabres and took home the win. This game saw Lowry get injured on a Ristolainen check. This will be the last of two meetings this season between the two teams.

Gameday Prediction

I think we’ll see a continuation of the last game between these two and the goals will be there. I predict a 4-2 win and either Evander Kane or Dustin Byfuglien will take a stupid penalty late in the game.
