All Star draft night: Two Connors are still better than one

Two Winnipeg Jets got drafted tonight Connor Hellebuyck and Kyle Connor. The two Connors have been split up for the All-Star weekend. Hellebuyck was drafted by team McDavid and Will Arnett in the first round. A great team starts with a great goaltender. Kyle Connor was drafted in the third round by team Hughes and Micheal Buble.

Connor Hellebuyck is playing in his fourth NHL All-Star game, and through his first 37 games he is looking like a slam dunk favorite to win the Vezina trophy. This is Kyle Connor’s second time at the All-star break. He got the honor of being an All-Star this year because Connor Bedard has a broken jaw and is still on the injured reserve.

The skills competition gets started at 6 PM. Hellebuyck will be partaking in the Honda NHL one-on-one event. The goalie with the most saves will earn $100,000.  Connor will not be partaking in the skills competition.
