Training Camp 2017 opened up on Friday with on-ice medical testing and conditioning and then full on practices and skating over the weekend. Fans and media alike were able to attend both days with many taking pictures and posting them on social media..
The opening of camp also coincided with the Jets annual Fan Fest which featured fun and games for the family along with appearances from players and management.
The Jets newest goaltender Steve Mason got his work in while facing down some the Jets best shooters…
Can’t see too many goalies anywhere wanting to stand in and face one-timers from them however…
Many who attended raved over the condition and look of defenseman Dustin Byfuglien who looks a new kind of lean as well as his usual mean…
A few eyebrows were raised when Logan Stanley was put in with the “A” group of players which seems like it would be your group of future Winnipeg Jets whereas “Group B” seems more like a group of Manitoba Moose bound players. Logan was challenged a handful of times against forwards who have more experience including a feisty battle put to him by Adam Lowry.
Less than 24 hours away from Jets players battling other team’s players and not each other. The Jets take on the Wild of Minnesota on Monday night.
