Be sure to check Betway to check out the latest Jets game day odds and bet on the NHL! On November 2nd the Winnipeg Jets took on the reigning Stanley Cup Champions for the second time in their first 10 games of the season. The Jets were once again given the challenge of the Vegas Golden Knights early in the season and came up short once again. The Knights entered into this game 9-0-1 and had earned 19 out of 20 possible points to start the season.
It was without a doubt that it was a frustrating game for the visiting team, who were unable to capitalize on key scoring chances and their special teams fell flat.  Vegas was able to take advantage of every opportunity granted by the Jets
William Karlsson would open the scoring for Vegas 10:45 into the first when Pavel Dorofeyev made a beautiful back-handed pass to Karlsson.
The Jets had Kyle Connor and Alex Iafallo chip in on the scoring. Connor picked up his sixth goal of the season when he tied things up at one with a great play.
Ivan Barbashev also helped out with the scoring. Barbashev extended their lead to 3-1 with his 3rd of the season.
Iafallo scored his fourth of the season on the power play which brought the Jets only down by one making it 3-2 early in the third period.
The Golden Knights had Jonathan Marchessault make things look easy as he picked up his 6th hat trick in his NHL career.
The Jets have dropped their third straight game and are 2-1-2 with Scott Arniel since he took the mantle of bench boss since Rick Bowness’ leave of absence.

JETS NATION PRESENTED BY BETWAY

The Jets’ defence was really sloppy as they gave up key scoring chances to a near-perfect Vegas team that will take advantage of those opportunities given and that’s exactly what they did. Nate Schmidt did make a very nice play with the stick on a Golden Knights breakaway. We are still early in the season so this game can be forgotten and we should move on.
The Jets continue their road trip, on November 4th as they take on Clayton Keller and the Arizona Coyotes at Mullett Arena. The Yotes have one point over the Jets and are in third in the Central division.
Puck drop for that game is at 3:00 PM CST and will be available to watch on TSN3 or listen in on CJOB.
