The one-game home stand for the Winnipeg Jets was a success as they took on division rivals, the St. Louis Blues and won. The Jets were without Rick Bowness behind the bench and came out on top in this one by a score of 4-2.  Get better soon Judy!
Connor Hellebuyck was the first star of the night as he stopped 18 of 20 shots. The Jets goaltender would stop 2 dangerous breakaways by St. Louis forward Jordan Kyrou at pivotal moments in the game. Hellebuyck recorded a .900 save percentage.
The Jets had David Gustafsson, Mason Appleton, Kyle Connor, and Morgan Barron on the score sheet. Gustafsson and Appleton’s goal came 18 seconds apart in the second period and were mirrors of eachother.  Kyle Connor extended the Jets lead in the third period and Morgan Barron sealed the game with an empty netter. Defenceman Neal Pionk also contributed with 2 assists.

The Jets special teams were not the shinning beacons we were hoping for. The Jets penalty kill would go one for four and the power play was not successful after getting three chances but we will give credit to Connor for scoring during the 4-on-4, Nate Schmidt would pick up his first point of the season on that goal as well.
The attendance at Canada Life Centre was a whopping 11,136. And that is the lowest in franchise history excluding the pandemic.
The Jets are back in action October 26th as they begin a two-game road trip starting in Detroit to face Alex DeBrincat and the Red Wings, then head to Montreal for a battle with the Canadiens October 28th.
