Be sure to check Betway to check out the latest Jets game day odds and bet on the NHL! This morning the Winnipeg Jets would announce Mason Appleton would be put on the injured reserve(IR) with an upper-body injury. Axel Jonsson-Fjallby would get called up from the Manitoba Moose on an emergency basis.
This is the third time Appleton has been on the IR this season. At this time it is not known if this injury is related to his previous upper-body injuries. In 22 games this season Appleton has scored two goals and nine points. The Green bay, Wisconsin native picked up two points in his last healthy stint of hockey which lasted six games.
This is unfortunate because Appleton could have been used a trade piece. Appleton would sign a three-year 2.1 million dollar contract in July. That contract will take him to 2024-25.

JETS NATION PRESENTED BY BETWAY

Axel Jonsson-Fjallby has been moving up and down between the Manitoba Moose and the Jets so much lately its been probably been sending him in circles.  This is the third time in less than 30 days that Jonsson-Fjallby has been recalled by the Jets. Since the Swedish born player has only played four games with the Moose and scored three goals and four points in the AHL. With the Winnipeg Jets the 25-year-old has four goals and 11 points in 47 games.
Pierre-Luc Dubois will go on the trip to Edmonton for tomorrow and is “hopeful” for Saturday according to Rick Bowness. Dubois would leave the ice during practice on Monday and is resting a nagging lower-body injury.
The Jets will be taking on the Edmonton Oilers this Friday and Saturday for a home and home series. Friday night in Edmonton at 8 pm and Saturday in Winnipeg at 6 PM.
