Zzzzz… Zzzzzz…
Some low scoring, 1-0 hockey games are entertaining as hell. They feature hits and hard skating and a bunch of near misses along with some great goaltending…
This game tonight had none of that.
We’ll give the Jets some credit here, this was Jacob Trouba, Adam Lowry and then a roster full of AHL, ECHL and prospect level players going up against a pretty well balanced Minnesota Wild team, and the Jets didn’t look over-matched by any stretch. There wasn’t any moment where they were outplayed for any great length of time.
As far as hockey games go, this was in fact a game of hockey. It wasn’t overly good, but if you’re look at this strictly from an evaluation standpoint, it wasn’t too bad. The Moose/Jets held their own and that is at least a positive.
Tucker Poolman really stood out for the Jets tonight. Dare say he may be even NHL ready. Connor Hellebuyck wasn’t challenged a whole lot tonight, but he was good yet again. Jacob Trouba of course looked good.
