That didn’t go well.
Winnipeg in the first and third periods looked ok, but a disastrous second period where the Predators scored four goals set the Jets fate in this one as they dropped a 5-3 loss in Nashville.
The story of the game – at least in the middle frame – was the Jets repeated inability to properly exit out of the defensive zone which created turnovers and left Connor Hellebuyck high and dry multiple times.
Leave your thoughts on tonight’s games in the comments below. Is this a blip on the radar screen, or is this an omen of bad things to come going forward? Who were the bright spots for the Jets (have a feeling a lot of people will go with just Perreault) and who had an overly rough night (pretty much everyone else right?)

PLAYERS OF THE GAME

For Winnipeg: Matthieu Perreault – 2 goals, put him on any line you’d like and he’ll continue to produce points.
For Nashville: Ryan Johansen – A goal that broke the Jets spirit in the game and an assist added for good measure.
