The Jets will be setting up shop at home for the next little as their next three games will be played on home-ice. The Jets welcome the 1-1-0 Bruins to Winnipeg tonight at 7pm CT and you can catch the game on TSN3 or you can give the game a listen on TSN 1290 radio.

Winnipeg

Record: 1-1-0
Laine-Scheifele-Wheeler
Ehlers-Perreault-Stafford
Connor-Burmistrov-Armia
Matthias-Lowry-Tanev
Morissey-Byfuglien
Enstrom-Myers
Chiarot-Postma
Hellebuyck
Hutchinson
  • It’s nice to see the Jets attempting to right their wrong by inserting Armia and Chiarot back in the lineup instead of having Chris Thorburn and Mark Stuart there.
  • The forward lines look pretty well distributed tonight. The Jets have stacked their top line. Their second line looks pretty good esepcaily with a combination of Perreault and Ehlers playing together. Armia and Connor will help make up for Burmistrov’s shortcomings and the Jets fourth line tonight could be their fourth line for the remainder of the season.
  • Nothing new on the defenseman front. The Byfuglien-Morrissey pairing has meshed together well thus far and the same goes for the Enstrom and Myers pairing. It’s nice to see Paul Postma in the lineup consistently for a change.
  • The Jets will go back to Connor Hellebuyck and the goaltending rotation will continue until one of the two takes the job and runs with it.

Boston Bruins

Record: 1-1-0
Marchand-Backes-Pastrnak
Spooner-Krejci-Heinen
Beleskey-Czarnik-Hayes
Moore-Nash-Acciairi
Charla-Carlo
Krug-O’Gara
Liles-Miller
Rask
Khudobin
  • Tukka Rask gets the start tonight despite being banged up with a lower-body injury.
  • Patrice Bergeron did not skate this morning and won’t play tonight. Bergeron is yet to play a game for the Bruins this year as he battles a lower-body injury
  • The area that the Bruins will likely miss Bergeron the most is in the face-off circle. The Bruins have only won 47% of face-offs through their first two games and their struggles will likely continue until Bergeron returns.
  • Boston will need to improve on limiting their shots allowed total as they’ve allowed 27.5 shots per game thus far, registering at the 7th most shots per game.

Predictions

Jets win 4-3 and Brandon Tanev gets his first NHL career goal.
