Welcome to the final prospect update of the season, thanks for following along!

Final stats above for the Jets’ CHL prospects. Logan Stanley does remain a possibility to play in the Memorial Cup, as the Spitfires are the host team. Michael Spacek, Jansen Harkins, and Luke Green are currently playing for the Manitoba Moose. Harkins signed a 3-year entry level contract this week.

Mikhail Berdin made his final start of the season one to remember, stopping 57 of 58 shots in a 4-1 Sioux Falls win. Berdin finishes the season tied for 2nd in save percentage, but near the end of the pack in goals against average. Those numbers will tell you all you need to know about the Stampede’s season.

Sami Niku and JYP are tied 2-2 with KalPa in the Liiga semifinals. Winner of this series will play either Tappara (Laine’s Finnish team, currently up 3-1) of HIFK. Niku has yet to record a point in the current series.

The Manitoba Moose got a few new faces this week. Jansen Harkins signed a 3-year entry-level contract with the Jets, reporting to the Moose to end the season. Michael Spacek joins the Moose on an ATO for the remainder of the season.

The week was a positive one for the Moose, winning three and losing one in overtime. Eric Comrie and Jamie Phillips split the starts, possibly due to Comrie’s recall to the Jets for his first NHL game in Columbus alongside Moose teammate Jack Roslovic.

On Tuesday, the Moose skated to a 3-1 win over the Grand Rapids Griffins. Eric Comrie stopped an impressive 35 of 36 and Scott Kosmachuk scored his 10th of the season for the game winner.

The second game of the series saw another low-scoring affair, this time with Jamie Phillips in net to stop 40 of 42. The Moose dropped the game in overtime but not before Scott Kosmachuk scored again in back-to-back games.

The scoring increased this past weekend in a two-game visit from the Tuscon Roadrunners. Jamie Phillips stopped just 23 of 27 but earned an overtime win when Brenden Kichton notched his long-awaited first of the season. The newest Moose (Harkins and Spacek) each earned an assist in the win.

Eric Comrie returned to the net on Sunday, stopping 28 of 31 in a 4-3 win. Ryan Olsen broke a tie halfway through the 3rd period and it would stand as the game winner.

The Manitoba Moose have two games remaining in Cleveland on Thursday and Friday to close out the season.
