Jets Heritage Classic Jerseys, Preliminary Alumni Roster Announced

On a fancy stage at Portage and Main, the Winnipeg Jets revealed their jerseys for the 2016 Heritage Classic. The uniforms will throw back to the WHA Dynasty of the Late 1970’s, while the Edmonton Oilers will stick to their alternates jerseys from last season.

The Jets also announced that the jerseys will be worn for two additional regular season games at MTS Centre, and that it can be pre-ordered by fans at Jets Shop locations starting today.
The teams also announced preliminary rosters for the Alumni game on October 22nd.
Suiting up for the Oilers are Grant Fuhr, Bill Ranford, Kevin Lowe, Paul Coffey, Charlie Huddie, Craig Muni, Steve Smyth, Dave Semenko, Mark Messier, Glenn Anderson, Jari Kurri, Kelly Buchberger, Ken Linseman, Craig MacTavis, Craig Simpson, Ryan Smyth, and some lucky fan named Wayne something.
The Jets will dress a roster headlined by Dale Hawerchuk, Teemu Selanne, and Thomas Steen. They’ll also include Bob Essensa, Dave Babych, Dave Ellett, Mike Ford, Jim Kyte, Mario Marois, Moe Mantha, Teppo Numminen, Tim Watters, Laurie Boschman, Mike Eagles, Kris King, Morris Lukowich, Andrew McBain, Brian Mullen, Darrin Shannon, Dug Smail, and Ron Wilson.
Glenn Sather and Ron Low will coach the oilers while Tim McVie and Serge Savard will be behind the Jets’ bench.
