The Winnipeg Jets are rolling into their third preseason game and will be halfway done with their preseason after tonight’s outing. The Jets have a record of 1-1 throughout their first two preseason games and have been outscored 7-5 by their opponents. The September 27th game against the Ottawa Senators was a dandy to watch in person at Canada Life Centre. @Daniel Torgersson would open the scoring with a nifty little tip nearly 14 minutes into the game, Torgersson would score a pair of goals and would get close to scoring a third. Keep your eyes on him he going to be someone special for the Jets moving forward.  We will get to see more of Torgersson in tonight’s contest against the Montreal Canadiens. @Ville Heinola would score the game-winning goal.  We will see more of him and hopefully some more offence from him tonight against the Canadiens. Heinola will be playing with @Logan Stanley. I like the idea of letting the two younger defenders play together, it might get sloppy but why not take the chance now? Although the Jets would win the game @Rick Bowness wasn’t too impressed with some of his veteran payers who were on the ice for extended periods of time.
Enough talking about the past let’s look toward tonight’s game between the Habs and the Jets.

Just a few notes for tonight’s game

    • It looks like @David Rittich will get the start tonight with @Arvid Holm playing back-up. Rittich would give up four goals against the Oilers on 26 shots and pick up a .846 save percentage.  Bowness would say in the pregame presser that Holm should have 20 minutes of ice-time tonight.
    • @Brad Lambert most likely playing in Montreal. This is the first time we will see him playing against men at the NHL level.
    • Lambert is also my player to watch tonight.
    • Stanley and @Nate Schmidt will be the only regulars playing defence tonight.
    • Heinola, @Kyle Capobianco, @Dylan Samberg and @Johnathan Kovacevic will fill out the rest of the defence.
    • In this match-up, @Sam Gagner will dawn a Jets jersey for the first time.
    • @pierre-Luc Dubois will be playing his first game in Montreal since saying “he would like to play in Montreal one day”.
    • The Habs are going with a younger group of players tonight but we will see @Kirby Dach and @Cole Caufield suit up for the Red and White.
    • @Jake Allen gets the start for the Canadiens.
    • Allen would get to play half the game on September 26th against the New Jersey Devils. He was perfect in his time in net stopping 18 of 18.
    • Points Bet has the Jets +140 to win and the Canadiens -165 to win.
