On Jan. 4, the Winnipeg Jets defeated the Vegas Golden Knights in overtime by a score of 5-4. That was the first time the Jets won back-to-back games since Dec. 5.
Not a bad way for the Jets to start the 2022 calendar year.
On the betting front, I went 3-for-6 on the night. I’ll take a moment to celebrate that if you don’t mind. Let’s hope I can replicate that performance as Winnipeg searches for some revenge against the Arizona Coyotes.

What You Need to Know About the Jets

Currently, the Jets are positioned fifth in the Central Division with a 15-11-5 record and 35 points. As a result, they sit just three points back of the Edmonton Oilers for the final Wild Card spot in the Western Conference.
@Connor Hellebuyck will receive the start again after his spectacular performance against the Golden Knights, where he stopped 42 of 46 shots against. Overall, Hellebuyck owns a 12-9-4 record, a 2.74 goals-against average and a .915 save percentage.
The Jets will be without captain @Blake Wheeler once again. That being said, @Evgeny Svechnikov will be back in the line-up and positioned on the fourth line next to teammates @Dominic Toninato and @Kristian Vesalainen.
@Kyle Connor leads the Jets in goals (19) and points (34). @Nate Schmidt and Wheeler hold the team share in assists with 16 each.

What You Need to Know About the Coyotes

The desert dogs are a bad team thus far in 2021-22, although they did defeat the Jets 1-0 back on Nov. 29. On the season, the Coyotes are dead last in the NHL with a 6-21-3 record and 15 points.
@Karel Vejmelka will man the crease Tuesday for the Coyotes. This season, he holds a 2-11-1 record, a 3.28 goals-against average and a .902 save percentage through 16 games. The 25-year-old earned his first career NHL shutout last time out against the Jets.
Arizona will be without @Connor Timmins, @Carter Hutton, @Dmitrij Jaskin, @Jakob Chychrun, @Ryan Dzingel and @Jay Beagle during this contest against Winnipeg.
@Clayton Keller currently leads the Coyotes in goals (10) and points (23). Phil “The Thrill” Kessel leads the team in assists with 16.
