The Winnipeg Jets are back on home ice, where they have won steadily of late, against an opponent that could be low on energy and morale.
The Winnipeg Jets are a -145 favourite against the +125 underdog Philadelphia Flyers with a 6.0-goal total on the NHL odds for Sunday at sportsbooks monitored by OddsShark.com. The Jets are 6-1 in their last seven games as a home favourite and the total has gone UNDER at online betting sites in seven of their last 10 games as a home favourite.
The Flyers, who are playing for the second day in a row, are 1-5 in their last six away games against the Western Conference with the total finishing UNDER five times. The home team is 12-2 in the last 14 games of this matchup.

Flyers at Jets | OddsShark Matchup Report

The Flyers are 17-10-5 this season after a 4-1 defeat against the Minnesota Wild on Saturday. Philadelphia has been fairly capable at generating offense this season, rating seventh in the 31-team NHL in five-on-five shot-attempt percentage (51.70 percent).
However, they have scored only one goal in each of their past two outings as centers Sean Couturier and Claude Giroux have had to adapt to line juggling with the absence of the team’s co-leaders in goals, right wing Travis Konecny (concussion) and left wing Oscar Lindblom, who is likely to miss the rest of the season after being diagnosed with a treatable form of bone cancer.
The Flyers are 17th in goals scored (2.97 per game) and ninth in goals against (2.72). On special teams, they are 18th on the power play 18th (17.4 percent) and third in penalty killing (85.9)
Brian Elliott, who is 7-3-2 this season with a 2.66 goals-against average and .915 save percentage, is line to get the goaltending start for the Flyers.
The Jets are 19-11-2 and are back in action after a humbling 5-2 defeat Thursday against the Detroit Red Wings, who have the worst record in the NHL. Winnipeg and its forward corps led by centers Mark Scheifele and Blake Wheeler will need to be efficient as the team is 21st in the league in five-on-five shot-attempt percentage (48.95 percent). The Jets are 19th in goals scored (2.88 per game) and 10th in goals against (2.72). Special teams have been a problem area, with a 26th-ranked power play (15.5 per cent) and a 27th-ranked penalty-killing unit  (76.3).
Connor Hellebuyck, who is 15-8-2 with a 2.31 goals-against average and .931 save percentage, should be fresh to start in goal for the Jets.
The Jets, who are home for four of their next five games, are also hosting the Carolina Hurricanes on Tuesday and the Chicago Blackhawks on Thursday.
