Enstrom has successful surgery, Copp won’t join team on road trip

Some injury news on the Winnipeg Jets front, as Tobias Enstrom had successful surgery for a “lower body injury” and will be able to return to action in two-to-three weeks.
Also, Andrew Copp, who was banged up in Tuesday’s game against the Dallas Stars, will not travel with the team to Pittsburgh today. He likely won’t be available until the end of February.
Enstrom was injured in last week’s game against the Tampa Bay Lightning just a few minutes into the first period. This will obviously be a major loss for the Jets, as Enstrom currently ranks third on the team in average ice time per game. That said, it’ll give Josh Morrissey an opportunity to further expand his role on the team.
Copp’s injury, as previously stated, was suffered on Tuesday. This will give Mathieu Perreault an opportunity in the team’s top-six, which could potentially help inflate his trade value as the deadline approaches.
