Be sure to check Betway to check out the latest Jets game day odds and bet on the NHL! On Friday, February 24th Rick Bowness would give us an injury update on rookie forward Cole Perfetti. Unfortunately, it was bad news as Bowness tell us the rookie forward is out for “probably a minimum of eight weeks.”
There is a little bit of a silver lining as this injury will probably not require surgery and isn’t the same upper-body injury that Perfetti experienced last season. Unfortunately, he will not play another game of regular-season hockey but could join the Jets if the Jets are deep enough in the playoffs.
Perfetti,21, has appeared in 51 games with the Winnipeg Jets this season and has scored eight goals and 30 points. The Whitby Ontario, native was playing in his first full rookie season and was looking to be a finalist for the Calder trophy at the end of this season. He was placed on the injured reserve on Feb. 21.

Perfetti was picked tenth overall by the Jets in the 2020 NHL draft and has scored 10 goals and 27 assists in his 69-game NHL career.
The Jets are second in the Central division (35-22-1) and are just a single point behind the Dallas Stars (30-16-12) for the top spot in the Division.   The Jets will be in action against the Stanley Cup-defending Colorado Avalanche tonight at 7 PM Friday night at Canada Life Centre.
