The Winnipeg Jets have struggled recently when they have to get right back on the horse, while the opposite is the case with the St. Louis Blues, who have also thrived historically at Bell MTS Place. The Jets are a +125 home underdog while the Blues are the -145 away favourite with a 6.0-goal total on the NHL odds for Saturday at sportsbooks monitored by OddsShark.com.
The Jets, who were defeated 2-1 by the Boston Bruins on Friday, are 2-5 in their last seven games when they also played the previous day. The Blues, a 4-2 loser against the Edmonton Oilers, are 7-1 in their last eight games when they also played the previous day. They are also 6-1 in their last seven road games against the Jets, with the total finishing OVER four times at betting sites.

Blues at Jets | OddsShark Matchup Report

The Blues lead the entire Western Conference with a 31-13-8 record, but are just 1-3-1 across their last five games. Balanced strength is St. Louis’ stock-in-trade with centers Brayden Schenn, Ryan O’Reilly and Robert Thomas leading an attack that accounts for the Blues ranking 15th in the 31-team NHL in five-on-five shot-attempt percentage (50.3 percent). The Blues are 11th in goals scored (3.17) and eighth in goals against (2.73). On special teams, they boast a fourth-ranked power play (24.7 percent) and 16th-ranked penalty kill (80.7).
Jake Allen started for the Blues on Friday, so it would stand to reason that Jordan Binnington will start in this divisional game. Binnington has a 23-8-5 record with a 2.62 goals-against average and .911 save percentage, but had a tough January with a 3.61 GAA and .866 save percentage.
The Jets are 25-23-4, including a 6-13-2 mark across their last 21 games. They are also 0-5 in their last five games as a home underdog. Winnipeg’s 24th-place ranking in five-on-five shot-attempt percentage (48.2 percent) has dragged down the offensive production from the likes of centers Mark Scheifele and Blake Wheeler and left wing Patrik Laine, as the Jets have scored only 12 goals in their last six games.  The Jets are 19th in goals scored (2.88 per game) and 18th in goals against (3.10). On special teams, the power play is ranked 20th (19.2 percent) but the penalty killing unit is ranked 29th (73.7).
Connor Hellebuyck should start in goal after Laurent Brossoit faced Boston on Friday. Hellebuyck has a 21-16-4 record with a 2.74 goals-against average and .917 save percentage, but his rate stats were just 3.29 and .898 during nine games in January.
The Jets host the Nashville Predators on Tuesday to conclude a three-game homestand, then visit the Blues for a rematch on Thursday.
