Betway Bets of the Day: Winnipeg Jets vs. LA Kings

The Winnipeg Jets are having a rough time lately. They have scored two goals in the last three games and have had 11 goals scored against them. In the game on Sunday against the New York Islanders the Jets would have a very slow start to the game just managing to put one shot on the net. The back half of the game was alright for the Jets but they were unable to find the back of the net and were shut out of the game.

The LA Kings last week weren’t great for them as they would go 1-2-1 and were outscored 9-13. The Kings are coming off a 5-2 loss to the New York Rangers. Kings goaltender Johnathan quick was chased from the net and backup goalie Pheonix Copley would finish the game stopping 12 of 14.  Both teams are looking to get back into the win column after a bad week against New York. A win for the Jets will put them back into third in the Central a win for the Kings will create separation between them and the Edmonton Oilers.

The Jets could play 11 forwards and 7 defencemen tonight if Pierre-Luc Dubois sits this game out due to a “nagging lower-body injury” Rick Bowness would tell the media.

A $1 bet would pay out $1.75. I’m going to be hammering the Jets until they win. When the slump breaks the floodgates will break. Yeah, it’s a little wild that the Jets are the favourites going into today’s game considering how the last two went, but when you consider Connor Hellebuyck is getting back in the net and the addition of Nino Niederreiter might be the reason the Jets are the favourites tonight.

A $1 bet will pay out $2.80. I’m all in on the Jets to win this game and I feel there’s going to be a showdown between these two teams. We know the Jets have it in them to score goals especially if they are sniffing around the net and looking for greasy goals. The Jets will try to impress Niederreiter and he’s going to want to impress as well tonight. Hellebuyck allows an average of three goals against the Kings. If you want to be bolder than me I would say maybe find the Jets win over 6.5 at +250.

A $1 bet will pay out $2.40. It’s a safe bet. Kyle Connor is the Jet who likes to pick up points against the Kings. He has six goals and 12 points in 13 games against the Kings. Connor has just one goal in five games.  He is expected to be playing with Mark Scheifele and Blake Wheeler on the same line in tonight’s contest.

A $1 bet will pay out $2.00.  Niederreiter hasn’t had a ton of scoring success against the Kings only seven goals and four assists in 26 games. The 30-year-old forward does like to shoot a little more than shots a game against the Kings, there is good value in this bet.
