<div class="mr-4 ml-4">The 32-year-old defenseman was entering the final year of his six-year contract with a $5.9 million cap hit. He originally signed the contract with the Vegas Golden Knights after their 2018 Stanley Cup run. The buyout will leave the Jets with a $2.7 million cap hit this upcoming season and a $1.6 million cap hit in 2025-26.</div>
