Betway Bets of the Day: Winnipeg Jets vs. Carolina Hurricanes

Some weight was lifted off the back of the Winnipeg Jets while they were down in Florida. The Jets would pick up their first back-to-back wins in nearly a month. Connor Hellebuyck was sensational over the weekend in back-to-back starts, 77 of 83 shots over the two games.  Josh Morrissey will be a game-time decision with a lower-body injury he would miss the game against the Tampa Lightning on Sunday after playing 16:40 against the Florida Panthers.

The Carolina Hurricanes have scored one goal in their last three games and have been outscored 7-1. Andrei Svechnikov will miss this game. The Hurricanes lead the Metropolitan with 94 points and have the New Jersey Devil racing them for first in the division. The Jets are looking to create more separation between them and the Nashville Predators for the coveted final playoff spot in the Western Conference. The Hurricanes are 3-2 this month.

The Hurricanes have been  shut out the last two games and will be hungry. Pierre-Luc Dubois is still out with an injury and never traded out east to meet up with the club. David Rittich is going to start. So I get the fear of not wanting to bet on the team but this team has proven they are at their best when big players are out.

Necas has three goals against the Jets in six games. Necas hasn’t found the back of the net in five games night might be the night he breaks out of that. The Hurricanes forward has 18 shots on net over his last five games.

The Jets have found their scoring ways in the last few games and there is no reason for it to stop. .  In the four games before the three with only one goal the Hurricanes would score 18. Both teams are good they can score. We will see both Federik Andersen and David Rittich will be playing as goaltenders tonight.
