Winnipeg Jets sign Goaltending prospect Thomas Milic

A week hasn’t even passed since the Winnipeg Jets were eliminated from the playoff and Jets GM Kevin Cheveldayoff is back to work. Today he would sign 2023 fifth round draft pick Thomas Millic to his Entry Level Contract which kicks in for the 2024-25 season and has an AAV of $841,700.
Milic, 21 started last season in the ECHL with the Norfolk Admirals where he would go 11-3-2 and earned two shutouts, a 2.45 GAA and .908SV%. He was also an ECHL All-Star and won goaltender of the week for October 22-29.
Milic got called up to Manitoba Moose of the AHL where he posted a 19-9-2 record a 2.27 GAA and a .900 SV%. The B.C. native won 14 of his final 19 games for the Moose and was named AHL player of the week in the third week of March. The Moose may have been swept in the first round of the playoffs by the Texas Stars he would stop 43 of 50 shots in the swift two game exit.
In 2023 Millic was a perfect 5-0-0 in the World Juniors lead he lead team Canada to gold with a .923 save percentage and 1.76 goals-against average.
