Winnipeg Jets sign forward Nikita Chibrikov to a three-year, entry-level contract

The Winnipeg Jets would announce they have signed 2021, 50th overall draft pick Nikita Chibrikov to an entry-level contract that’s three years long with an average annual value in the NHL of $925,000. Chicrikov signed a professional tryout contract with the Manitoba Moose and will the join the Jet’s AHL squad until the end of the their playoff run. His contract will officially begin in 2023-24.
Chibrikov, 20, spent the 2022-23 season in Russia and played for three teams in three different leagues. Spartak Moskva KHL, 31 games played, 1 goal ,1 assists. Khimik Voskresensk,VHL, 16 games played, 3 goals, 7 assists. MHK Spartak Moskva, MHL, 12 games played, 8 goals, 10 assists. The Moscow, Russia native has played 51 career KHL games over three seasons and totaled 2 goals and 2 assists.
Chibrikov is a left shot forward, who tends to play the right wing. He is an undersized player standing at 5’10” and weighing in at 170 pounds.
Internationally, Chibrikov has represented Russia throughout his youth and would be the captain for the Russian sent team at the 2021 U18 worlds and would earn a silver medal.
