After dominating third period against the Calgary Flames Wednesday night Scott Arneil and the Winnipeg Jets made seven more cuts to the line up there are 29 who remain with the team.
The final preseason game goes Friday night at 8:00 PM in Calgary. We should see a nearly full Jets regular season team Friday night. It’s now only 6 days until the Jets open their regular season in Edmonton, but before that the team needs to make some more roster cuts to get to their opening night 23 man roster.
Thomas Milic, Tyrel Bauer, Dmitry Kuzmin have all been assigned to the Manitoba Moose.
Axel Jonsson-Fjallby, Mason Shaw, Dominic Toninato and Simon Lundmark have all been placed on waivers for assignment to the Moose.
With these cuts Dylan Coghlan Elias Salomonsson and Haydn Fleury will fight to round out the bottom six and seven spots of the Jets defence group, with Logan Stanley and Ville Heinola out with injuries over the first few weeks of the season.
It’s notable that Jaret Anderson-Dolan, Elias Salomonsson, Brad Lambert and Nikta Chibrikov are still with the team.
