<p>It&#8217;s the final preseason hockey game for the Winnipeg Jets even though the NHL regular season is starting this afternoon in Prague between the New Jersey Devils and the Buffalo Sabres. Tonight both the Flames and Jets will be going with a very close to regular season line-up. The Jets are looking for a preseason sweep over the Flames after a 5-2 victory at Canada Life Centre on Wednesday night.</p>
<p>Mike McIntyre on X would let us know that Kaappo Kahkonen, Brad Lambert, Nikita Chibrikov, Dylan Coglan, David Gustafsson and Jaret Anderson-Dolan are not making the trip to Calgary tonight.  We should see four of these players cut from the Jets roster before Sunday assuming Logan Stanley and Ville Heinola are out on LTIR.</p>
<div class="mb-5">Connor Hellebuyck will get the third straight start tonight for the Jets. He started Wednesday&#8217;s game a little shaky in the first period but looked to be in Hellebuyck form after the second goal against he would stop 17 of 19 shots against from the Flames.</div>
<div>Good news about the players put on waivers yesterday, Axel Jonsson-Fjallby, Mason Shaw, Dominic Toninato and Simon Lundmark they have all cleared waivers and will be playing with the Manitoba Moose.</div>

<div class="mb-5">Scott Arniel would talk to the media this morning commenting on the game played on Wednesday night and what he expects from his team going into Calgary <em>&#8221; the first 30 minutes the guys were kicking off the rust after not playing for 7 or 8 days but they took off after that and we started playing out game and having those guys get right back into it tonight, they up to speed they know how to play and now we just need to build on that&#8221;</em></div>
