It was announced by Winnipeg Jets head coach Tuesday morning that Nikolaj Ehlers has been placed on injured reverse, retroactive to November 29th. Arniel would say we should expect him back in 7-10 days.
Ehlers was injured November 29th against the Vegas Golden Knights when he threw a hit on Golden Knights forward on Pavel Dorofeyev which lead to an awkard end where Dorofeyev stepped on Ehlers foot.
Ehlers, in his first 24 games this season has nine goals, and 25 points. The highest scoring Danish player is in the final year of his contract with the Jets. He is coming off of a 25 goal, 61 point 82 game campaign and scored 2 assists in the five games in the playoffs.
With the injury to Ehlers Winnipeg announced that they are recalling Brad Lambert from the Manitoba Moose of the American Hockey Leauge. (AHL)
The first round 30th overall pick in 2022 for the Jets has 11 points in 16 games in the AHL this season. Last season with the Moose Lambert scored 20 goals and 54 points in 63 games and was second in goals and assists with the AHL club.
