This evening we would get the news from Darren Dreger that Winnipeg Jets 2020 first round draft pick Cole Perfetti has signed a two-year 3.25 million dollar AAV contract.
He will be paid $3 million this year and 3.5 million in 2025-26.The 5-foot-11 forward is coming off his three-year, entry-level contract he signed in November of 2020.
This bridge-deal will take Perfetti to the age of 24 when he will still be an RFA. This leaves the Jets with a minimum 2.5 million to play with come trade deadline day.
The Whitby, ON. native, scored 19 goals and 38 points in 71 games for Winnipeg last season both of those were career highs.Overall in his career, Perfetti has 29 goals and 75 points in 140 NHL games.
He would only play one playoff game where he would only play 10:56 and record 0 points and three shots on goal.
