WWYDW: What Makes a Successful Off Season?

Welcome to this week’s version of What Would You Do Wednesday where you are asked a question and debate among yourselves what the answer is. Unfortunately, the only prize you will receive will be the most Twitter mentions.
This week’s WWYDW asks what would make a successful off season for the Winnipeg Jets.
Take a read and let us know what you think!
Do we even care
about this season anymore? Are you tired of watching Mark Stuart play
like a blind platypus in his own end or Pavelec almost make enough
saves? But here we are and it’s time to look at the off season.
What would you do to
make the 2016 off season successful?
In a nutshell, this
is what a successful 2016 off season looks like for me.
The successful
re-signings of Mark Scheifele and Jacob Trouba.
Landing a free
agent. There are a few big name free agents available this off
season, Milan Lucic, Eric Staal, Dan Hamhuis, Loui Eriksson to name a
few. They will cost a pretty penny, but breaking the internal cap and
showing commitment to the Winnipeg fan base by signing a good free
agent will go a long way.
One
of the biggest issues the Jets faced during the 2015-16 season was a
lack of depth. So, a free agent signing is a must.
Changing up special
teams coaches. The Jets sit 30th in the league for
powerplay and 25th for penalty kill. There needs to be a
change if the Jets are to have a successful season.
There is more that
can be done, but this is start.
