It is that time of year:
Rosters are all but set. Training camp is about to begin. News is focused on expectations and predictions. And I’m prepping to destroy my fantasy leagues.
Friends of Jets Nation, Daily Faceoff, has constructed the best bang for your buck fantasy draft guide out there.
In this encyclopedia of projections and information you will find a tonne of insight, from breaking down every team to the top players at every position.
No Jets player is projected to score 30 goals in the DailyFaceoff Draft guide, but three Winnipeg Jets are projected to touch 60 points including Mark Scheifele, who DFO’s projections believes is poised to take a big step forward offensively this season. He’s ranked among the top-50 fantasy centreman in hockey for this upcoming season.
Big things are also expected of Tyler Myers, who DFO ranks as the 32nd best fantasy defender (Dustin Byfgulien was obviously in the top-10 and both Enstrom and Trouba were also ranked).
DailyFacoff.com’s Brock Seguin writes on Myers’ fantasy projections this season:
Myers’ fantasy value heated up after he was traded to Winnipeg in midseason – as he managed 15 points (3G / 12A) in 24 games. He looked a lot like the Tyler Myers we saw early in his career and we should continue to see that player in 2015-16. The 6’8” defenseman has a blast from the point which should lead to double-digit goals to go with 30-plus assists.
The Nations Network also conducted a mock draft, where Art Middleton represented Jets Nation well.
This guide is available for download at $4.95 here.
Happy drafting.
