Teemu Selanne is coming back to Winnipeg.
The legendary former Winnipeg Jets (version 1.0) and Anaheim Ducks forward is expected to attend one of Games 3 or 4 at the MTS Centre, according to TSN 1290’s Andrew Paterson, by way of Gary Lawless.
It’s rather kind of Selanne to agree to attend a game in Winnipeg, considering how much he’ll mean to the Winnipeg faithful and the impact he’ll have in revving up the crowd. Guess he stills has it out for Bruce Boudreau!
The surefire future Hockey Hall of Fame forward played fewer than 250 games with the Jets (in comparison with over 950 in Anaheim), but he’s hockey royalty in Manitoba and deservedly so.
He attended game one of the series in Anaheim and was spotted in a box with former Ducks tough guy George Parros:

Selanne was greeted with wild applause by the Orange County fans, but you have to think that’ll pale in comparison with the reception he’s sure to receive in Winnipeg.
