Report: Jets re-assign JC Lipon, one step closer to 23-man-roster

The Jets website announced that JC Lipon has be re-assigned to the AHL.
The cut brings down the Jets training camp roster from 26 to 25 (excluding Grant Clitsome).
Lipon will be moving across the hall to the Manitoba Moose’s camp.
JC Lipon came in with a strong camp but ultimately was unable to push for a final position.
The young forward will go back to the AHL for his third season there. Lipon created some intrigue with 42 points in his rookie pro season, but struggled to repeat his scoring on a significantly weaker St.John’s IceCaps roster.
A fun and random factoid: Lipon’s first name is JC, not J.C. The two letters are not an acronym and do not stand for anything.
The Jets camp has now been cut down to 14 forwards, 9 defenders, and 2 goaltenders. The final roster number will need to be set at 23 by Tuesday afternoon.
