In a recently done survey of 25 NHL player agents, @Winnipeg Jets General Manager Kevin Cheveldayoff was amoung the top names listed when asked the question “Which GM do you enjoy dealing with the most?” Chevy is one of four GMs who split the top vote with 12% each as he, @Calgary Flames GM Brad Treliving, @Edmonton Oilers GM Ken Holland and @Florida Panthers GM Dale Tallon were all named by the agents as enjoyable to deal with.
PuckPedia commented that while Chevy does lead the way, the overall results suggest something more league wide:
When asked which GM (current or former) agents most enjoy dealing with, the answers were quite split. Four GM’s received the most votes: Kevin Cheveldayoff, Brad Treliving, Ken Holland, and Dale Tallon. In total, 13 different GM’s received a vote, which may demonstrate that Agent-GM relationships aren’t as adversarial as one may expect.
This question was the only one related to general managers that Chevy was named in. Other questions included “Which GM is toughest to deal with” and which GMs would be the easiest to get a good deal out of for the player.
The questions are part of a poll conducted by PuckPedia.com that will see results published over three days. Tuesday, matters involving the current Collective Bargaining Agreement were discussed, Wednesday was about NHL GMs and players, Thursday’s third and final reveal will see matters of agent business questioned.
