Mark Frickin’ Scheifele scored himself a nod from the NHL for the second time in 3 weeks. Landing as the 2nd star for the week of December 10th.
With 5 goals and 6 assists in just 4 games, Scheifele extended his goal streak to 4 games with the overtime winner. Along with 2 assists in last nights win against the Lightning.
With points in 8 of his last 10 games, Scheifele currently leads all Jets players in points with 46 in just 33 games. Which puts him on pace for a career high in both goals and assists, along with yet another point-per-game season. Scheifele has firmly put himself on the radar for one of the best offensive players in the league.
Scheifele has also entered the record books as he became the second player in Jets/Thrashers franchise history to have 3 consecutive 3+ point games.
The Jets look to extend their win streak this week as they play host to a trio of Pacific Division opponents, as they continue to battle the Nashville Predators for top spot in the Central.
