The Jets are back on the road and looking to put some more miles between themselves and the rest of the Central division as they take on a Minnesota Wild team that has been up and down the last month or so and could use a string of wins to get back into the playoff race themselves.

Wild Player To Watch

#40 Devan Dubnyk – Goalie

Coming off a shutout in Montreal, Dubnyk is going to be the player to watch for Minnesota. With such solid numbers since arriving in Minnesota in 2014-2015, Dubnyk has the ability to change the course of any game. The Jets found this out the hard way less than two weeks ago as Dubnyk turned away 26 of 27 shots on December 29th as the Wild beat the Jets at Bell MTS Place. With the strong play of Dubnyk again this season, he will be the player to watch for Minnesota.

Last Wild Game

A terrible first period for Minnesota did them in against the Bruins. It was a rough start for Stalock who got shelled in the opening frame and let in three goals. In the end, the score was 4-0 Bruins as the Wild got shutout to end their eastern road trip.

Jets Player To Watch

#29 Patrik Laine  – Right Wing

It’s been a really tough stretch for Laine who tore it up in November with 18 goals but struggled in December with only three goals. He hasn’t scored yet in January but he’s in a prime spot to rebound as he’s the only player on the Jets to score in both games against the Wild this season.

Last Jets Game

Sometimes it doesn’t matter how many shots you take as the Jets scored seven goals on just 21 shots. They gave up 41 shots but Hellebuyck played well enough for the victory as the Jets took down the Avs by a score of 7-4. A testament to the depth of the Jets, they were able to score all seven goals with seven different scorers. Wheeler led the way with a goal and three assists for a great four point effort.
