Recently for the Jets…
The Jets opened their four-game road trip with a 5-3 loss to Nashville on Monday night, which snapped a four-game winning streak. Even with the loss, the Jets are tied for the best record over the last 10 games in the NHL at 7-2-1 with the Tampa Bay Lightning. Mathieu Perreault scored twice for the Jets on Monday night, giving him 4 goals and 1 assist in 3 games since returning from injury. Connor Hellebuyck suffered his second regulation loss, stopping 24 of 29 shots.
Recently for the Kings…
Unlike the Predators, who had won six of their last seven going into the game on Monday, the Kings are reeling of late. The Kings are coming off a 4-2 loss to the Vegas Golden Knights on Sunday night. The loss was their fifth loss in their last 6 games. They have been held to 2 goals or less in 5 of their last 6 games. Despite that, the Kings still hold a one-point lead in the Pacific division. Anze Kopitar has been the Kings hottest player in the month of November, with 9 points (2 goals, 7 assists) in 9 games.
Recently between the two teams…
This is the first of three meetings between the two clubs, with the other two meetings taking place at Bell MTS Place. Last season the Jets posted a 1-1-1 record against the Kings, with both losses coming at Staples Center. They lost 3-2 in overtime on Jan 14, 2017, and 5-2 on Mar 23, 2017. Connor Hellebuyck started two of the three meetings, posting a 1-1-0 record, with a 3.36 goals against average, and an .892 save percentage. Mathieu Perreault was the leading scorer in the three meetings with 4 points (1 goal, 3 assists).
Matchup to Watch

Gameday Prediction
The Kings have struggled to score goals as of late, and the Jets will want to respond after a poor back half of the game in Nashville on Monday. Mason will continue to play as well as he has in the last couple outings, and the Jets powerplay will continue to have success against LA : Jets win 4-2.
