Welcome to the Jets Nation preview of tonight’s game between the Jets and the Chicago Blackhawks. The Jets have fared well against the Blackhawks this season. Connor Hellebuyck will be getting the nod as starter for the 2nd time in 10 games. Ondrej Pavelec left with an injury against the Wild, which is why Maurice is going with Hellebuyck. Hellebuck is 4-1-0 with a 1.41 GAA and a save percentage of .956 against the Blackhawks this season.
Other news has Ben Chiarot returning from injury and replacing Mark Stuart in the lineup. As a result, Julian Melchiori is being sent back to the Moose and will need to pass through waivers first.
The Jets need a bounce back game from Patrik Laine, as he ended up on the fourth line against the Wild. Otherwise, the Jets boast a decently balanced lineup and a potent top six.

The Blackhawks enter tonight’s game on a 3 game win streak and look to make that a 4 game win streak.
Luckily, the Blackhawks are in need of winger depth which has meant Jonathon Toews has had to plod along this season. It is no wonder that he has posted underwhelming numbers this year. Look to the Kane line to produce offensively for the Blackhawks.
Corey Crawford will get the start in tonight’s game and he looks to continue on his stellar season.
Vinnie Hinostroza may draw in on the fourth line instead of Jordin Tootoo.
