The first round of WHL playoffs come to a close, while the USHL and AHL seasons come to a close over the next few weekends.

CHL

Jansen Harkins and the Prince George Cougars bowed out of the WHL Playoffs last night, losing in six games to the Portland Winterhawks. The BC Division Champions were heavy favourites in the series, giving up assets for a deep playoff run. Harkins ends the playoffs with seven points in six games, including a first star performance last Wednesday in Game Three (1 Goal / 4 Assists). Look for Harkins to join the Moose for the remainder of the season once again.

Matteo Gennaro scored a goal in Game Three against the Regina Pats, but the Hitmen were consistently outmatched throughout the series. Regina completed the sweep on Thursday in a 5-1 win. Gennaro could be joining Harkins in a short stint with the Moose.

Mikhail Berdin played a single game this week, stopping 23 of 25 shots in a 3-0 loss at Des Moines. Sioux Falls will play two games at home on Friday and Saturday again Sioux City to close out the season. The team will not make the playoffs.

NCAA

Final stats for the NCAA seasons can be seen above.
CJ Franklin is returning for his senior season. Matt Ustaski and Jack Glover seem likely to return to school as well. Erik Foley and Mason Appleton may be returning to school, but it is not set in stone.
Tucker Poolman signed a one-year entry level contract this past week, beginning in 2017-18. Poolman will undergo two shoulder surgeries with a recovery time of 4-6 months. It has been said that Poolman was playing with one shoulder most of the season, and was finally forced out of the lineup when the other was injured in the NCAA Tournament.

AHL

The Manitoba Moose played three games this week, a win over Bakersfield and two losses in San Jose. Jack Roslovic and Kyle Connor were the only two players on an NHL contract to score this week, earning themselves call-ups to the Jets.
Eric Comrie rebounded from last week, beginning with a 26-save performance last Tuesday. The Moose saw scoring from new additions Rob Flick and Francis Beauvillier, and Jack Roslovic scored an unassisted beauty.
