Jets Nation Report Card: Tank Nation Strong

Here we are again for another edition of the Jets Nation Report Card, where the report card is made up and the grades don’t matter.
Except the uh, grades on the ice, that does matter. It matters for Tank Nation.
Which is still in full swing, as the Jets have dropped three straight and four of the last five.
Since the Jets have lost their last three games, there really isn’t too much room for good grades in this report card, but we’re gonna stay positive and give credit where credit is due.
Dean’s List: Dustin Byfuglien, Blake Wheeler, Connor Hellebuyck, Ondrej Pavalec (tentative).
These four made the Dean’s List this week for being chosen to represent their respective countries at the World Cup of Hockey this summer. Byfuglien and Wheeler were selected for Team USA, Hellebuyck for Team North America (U-23’s), and Pavalec for Team Czech Republic. I say ‘tentative’ for Pavalec because he hasn’t been playing all that well lately and his selection for Team Czech Republic was basically a given due to the lack of depth at the goaltending position for the Czechs.
Honor Roll: Mark Scheifele
Scheifele had a very strong week, recording three points (1 goal, 2 assists) in the Jets’ last three games.
Academic Probation: Ben Chiarot, Jacob Trouba, Marko Dano.
These three players were put here for similar, yet different reasons. Chiarot has really struggled on defense this past week, posting a minus-3 rating and recording zero points in three games. Trouba hasn’t been playing badly by any means, but he hasn’t been showing enough good things either. A player of Trouba’s caliber should be better than average. Finally, we have newcomer Marko Dano. I don’t want to be too hard on the guy since he’s brand new to the organization and still very young, but he hasn’t shown much yet in his limited time with the team.
Failing: Mark Stuart
Because, Mark Stuart.
Now, for the rest of the report card:
