Two home losses in a row have contributed to the Winnipeg Jets being an underdog in an arena where they have struggled to win recently – but they have also played well as a road underdog this season.
The Jets are a +110 underdog while the Minnesota Wild are the -130 favourite with a 5.5-goal total on the NHL odds for Saturday at sportsbooks monitored by OddsShark.com. Winnipeg is 3-7 in its last 10 away games against Minnesota, but they are also 10-5 as a road underdog this season with the total finishing UNDER in nine of those 15 matchups at betting sites.
Minnesota, meanwhile, is 9-3 in its last 12 games as a home favourite. Eight of the last 12 games in this Central Division matchup have gone UNDER.

Jets at Wild | OddsShark Matchup Report

The Jets are 20-13-2 after home losses this week against the Carolina Hurricanes and the Chicago Blackhawks. Whether Winnipeg, which ranks 21st in the 31-team NHL in five-on-five shot-attempt percentage (49.2 percent), can bounce back hinges largely on a strong night from centers Mark Scheifele and Blake Wheeler and their linemates. The team ranks 18th in goals scored (2.94) and 11th in goals against (2.86). While the Jets’ power play is ranked 19th (17.9 per cent), their penalty killing ranks 31st, or last (72.9).
Connor Hellebuyck has come back to earth of late, with a 4.39 goals-against average and .867 save percentage across his last four starts. Overall, Hellebuyck is 16-10-2 this season with a 2.53 GAA and .924 save percentage.
The Wild are 17-14-5 this season and coming off a resounding 8-5 win against the Arizona Coyotes on Thursday when goalie Devan Dubnyk played his first game in a month since taking time off due to his wife having a medical issue. Minnesota rates 24th in the league in five-on-five shot-attempt percentage (48.2 percent). They are 11th in goals scored (3.17) but 28th in goals against (3.31). On special teams, the Wild’s power play stands 21st (17.7 percent) and their penalty killing ranks 24th (76.9).
Dubnyk is 5-8-2 with a 3.48 goals-against average and .891 save percentage. Alex Stalock, who has a 9-5-2 record with a 2.81 GAA and .907 save percentage, might also be in line for the goaltending start.
The Jets host the Montreal Canadiens on Monday before taking a three-day holiday break.
