In the summer, I had the pleasure to introduce you to Carter Jansen. With that introduction and follow up to Carter, and his friend Graeme Fortlage we set fire to a bit of a storm of media surrounding the jersey.
Articles on NHL.com, radio appearances all over, and even CBC and HNIC.
We here at Jetsnation are very proud we were first to really give the boost to the campaign and Graeme has just taken it and run with it. We will be giving updates along the way with a final update as the family receives the package with the jersey.

Stop One: Winnipeg

Myself and Art Middleton (the editor of Jetsnation) packed into a car and drove the 13 hours from Edmonton to Winnipeg. We were finally able to meet Graeme in person and then were given the all-access tour of Bell MTS Place, including being able to sit in on the morning skates of both the Leafs (visitors that night) and the Jets.
The experience culminated that night as Graeme and Art attended the game. They were included with the jersey in some pre-game festivities. There was an in-game interview of Graeme and other good times spent with Carter’s jersey. The Jets have asked that at the end of this season, or the start of the next they have Graeme and the jersey back to complete the trek for Carter.
Thank you to the Jets and Graeme for this kick off of the trip.

Stop Two: Dallas

The second leg of the tour was a star studded affair. Kimberly Matthews has taken it upon herself to help Graeme with the coordination of this tour and we will also see the jersey with Kim in a couple of later trips in Eastern Canada and California.
Kim pulled some strings and was able to get photos with the jersey on the ice, as well as in the penalty box and then with a whole legion of fans (and Victor E. Green, the mascot of the Stars stopped by)
And finally, post-game, the jersey met with some celebrity types like some guy named the Eagle.
A big thanks to the Stars, Kim, and all the fans that took part in this stop and made Carter’s trip that much more special.

Stop Three: Vancouver

Jason Shalist and his family were beyond excited to get the jersey fresh from Dallas. Carter’s jersey was able to take in the game from the bottom of the lower bowl at Rogers Arena.
Thanks to the Canucks, and Mr. Shalist and his family for taking such good care of the jersey for us.
The jersey is off to Pittsburgh now to join Richard Moser on the 26th of October.
Stay up to date with the jersey, please join the group on facebook and follow along with me as I show you all the places it will go!
