This afternoon the NHL held a press conference from Regina to officially announce the next Heritage Classic game. The event will be held on October 26th 2019 between the Calgary Flames and the Winnipeg Jets. The game will played at Mosaic Stadium and will be the first time that two NHL teams suit up for an outdoor game in a non-NHL City.
This will be the 5th ever Heritage Classic, a regular season match up traditionally hosted at a football field and featuring two games played over the span of a weekend.  One from the current team and one featuring select alumni from both teams participating.  This will be the second event for the both teams since this event’s inception,  the Winnipeg Jets  hosted The Edmonton Oilers in October of 2016 and the Calgary Flames hosted the Montreal Canadiens in February of 2011. While the bulk of the Winnipeg Jets roster has participated in the event, only two of the current roster for Calgary remains from their heritage game in 2011, team captain Mark Giordano and Mikael Backlund.
This will be the first time that the city of Regina has hosted a hockey event on such a large scale and Winnipeg will be considered the home team for this event. Mosaic Stadium is expected to sell out to capacity with approximately 33,000 seats available
Tickets go on sale April 25th at 10AM CT through Ticketmaster, pricing will be announced in the weeks leading up to this.
