High flying rookie Kyle Connor was named the NHL’s Third Star of the Week today. Connor had a rather eventful week, putting up 6 points (4 goals, 2 assists) in his last 3 games. Kyle Connor became Kyle Clutch, as two of his 4 goals were overtime winners, helping the Jets take down Los Angeles and Anaheim with some 3-on-3 success.
Not only has he helped his team come away with some very exciting wins this week, but his goals this week have pushed him into a tie with Brock Boeser for the league lead in rookie goal scoring. Connor could overtake Boeser as early as Tuesday, when the Jets take on the Bruins.
