The Race Is On: Pick Your Poison

Winnipeg’s overtime win against the Ducks on Friday night means that Jets fans could be putting X’s beside their Twitter user names and start planning playoff watch parties as early as Sunday night.
But beyond that, the Jets two wins this past week as well as the Predators regulation loss on Thursday against Toronto makes for an interesting decision for Jets fans on Saturday night.
Who do you root for? Nashville or Minnesota?
The Jets sit six points behind and a Predators loss keeps it that was heading into a big showdown on Sunday night with both teams having eight games remaining.
A Wild loss though keeps them ten points back of Winnipeg and all but mathematically assures the Jets of home ice advantage in the first round.
In the end it might not matter either way, just so long as the game ends in regulation time.
Meanwhile…
St. Louis got within one point of the Avalanche for the final wild card spot and three points behind the Wild for third in the division after they dispatched the Canucks 4-1.
The Dallas Stars took one mighty step backwards on Friday night as they took a 2-0 lead going into the third period at home against an injury depleted Boston Bruins club, and gave up three unanswered – the third with 12 seconds left in regulation – to lose 3-2. The Stars get one more non-playoff team to try and pick up points from before their last six games come against teams in playoff spots and scraping for positions
