The Minnesota Wild aren’t going away.

Thanks to a 3-1 win over the Arizona Coyotes (seriously, Jets 1.0 has been of zero help the last few days) the Wild got two points closer to the Jets and are now five points behind Winnipeg for home ice advantage in the first round. The Jets though however have a game in hand on Minnesota which will be used tonight against the Dallas Stars who are still in that three way tie for the two wild card spots with Colorado and Anaheim.

The Chicago Blackhawks took one more step to being irrelevant for the season by dropping a 5-3 decision in Buffalo. Despite that win the Sabres joined the Canucks and Coyotes in the officially eliminated club.

No teams clinched a playoff spot on Saturday.

Other action that affects the Jets playoff hopes on Sunday? Anaheim will host the New Jersey Devils, Colorado will take on the Detroit Red Wings and the Blues will look to put Chicago in an even deeper hole. The main event though may be the Calgary Flames in Vegas.

The Jets are one point behind the Golden Knights for second place in the Western conference. Finishing ahead of Vegas could mean home ice if the jets manage to get to a Western Conference Final.
