Jets Notebook

The Jets are coming off a loss to Nashville in which there was a constant parade to the penalty box. Special teams have been struggling and it is important for them to stay out of the box. Currently sitting at .500, the Jets need a win and getting one against the hottest team in the league right now could only help morale. Dustin Byfuglien will be sitting out tonight due to an injury.
Tonight is the first night we’ll see the Aviator jerseys in action and is also a giveaway of a mini version of those.

Hurricanes Notebook

The Hurricanes are coming in hot off an overtime win against Minnesota last night in which they had 57 shots on the Wild’s Dubnyk. They’re the hottest team to start this season and while they keep winning and being a generally fun team, they do have some struggles. Their powerplay has been struggling and they’ll be looking to improve upon that. The Hurricanes are a team being driven by young fast players and aside from their second line, that is something the Jets need to be aware of.
For example, it’s this type of scoring plays the Jets will need to be cognizant about.
