Jets fans were rooting a bit for the Kings last night as they took on the Wild, but they’ll be less than gracious with their feelings towards them tonight as they stand in the way of a Jets team looking to extend their winning streak to three.

Los Angeles Kings (40-27-6)
@
Winnipeg Jets (43-19-10)

March 20, 2018 – Puck drop: 7:00 PM CST
Bell MTS Place – Winnipeg, MN.
TV: TSN3 – Radio: TSN 1290

Recently for the Jets…

A big win in Dallas certainly felt good for players, fans and media alike, but the injury to Jacob Trouba put a bit of a dark cloud over the good feelings. The Jets at least managed to get Mark Scheifele, Adam Lowry and Tobias Enstrom back, so it wasn’t all doom and gloom. The Jets are 6-3-1 over their last ten games and this is the third of their six game homestand. They can also establish a franchise record for most wins in a season tonight.

Recently for the Kings…

The Kings did the jets a bit of a solid last night by defeating the Minnesota Wild, although they didn’t make it easy on themselves as they gave up a 2-0 first period lead and then let the Wild take the lead late in the third before Dustin Brown scored in the last minute of the game to force overtime where Jeff Carter won it with seconds left in the extra session. About a week ago the Kings were clipping right along before they got punched in the mouth by the St. Louis Blues to the tune of a 7-1 score. Since then, they’ve been 3-1-1 which hasn’t been bad, but as with many other teams in their spot, they need every point they can scrape up.

Recently between both teams…

The Jets and Kings have had a pair of close games this season, starting off with a 2-1 Jets win in LA back on November 22, but followed by a Kings 4-3 win in Winnipeg on February 20. This is the third and final meeting between two clubs this season. One player who the Kings are very familiar and will be weary of is Paul Stastny who had 12 goals and 32 points in 38 career games against Los Angeles, thanks mostly due to his time spent in Colorado.

Gameday Prediction

The Jets need to be aggressive and get on the Kings early with the Kings having played the night before. Staying healthy would be an added bonus as well. Got a feeling Jets do both by scoring all their goals in the first period and cruise to victory. Jets win 4-1.
