Recently for the Jets…
Another Jets win, another man or two lost to injury. This time it’s Brandon Tanev and Matt Hendricks who both left the game on Saturday during the win over the Avalanche and will likely be sitting tonight’s game out. Look, we don’t want to say that the injury bug has bitten the Jets pretty hard, but Tim over in accounting and Cliff in the mail room should think about getting their gear ready, just in case. The good news for the #FreePetan crew is that Petan may finally be “freed” to play in tonight’s game. It only took injuries to five forwards to get him in there.
Recently for the Coyotes…
The Yotes come into tonight having lost their last three games, the most recent was a 6-0 loss to the Los Angeles Kings on Saturday. Before the three game slide, there was hope that the Coyotes were starting to figure things out as they had put together back to back wins over the Islanders and Blues, and had earned loser points in four previous games before that. Arizona ranks near the bottom in both power play and penalty kill efficiency and talk has already started about how the Coyotes are clear sellers at the deadline.
Recently between both clubs…
The Coyotes have yet to win a game at Bell MTS Place since the Thrashers moved north to their new home having done 0-6-2 against the Jets since the relocation. Winnipeg has won seven of their last nine against the Coyotes and 12 of the last 15 games played. They’ve simply been the better team for a handful of years now. A little more recently however this season, the Jets hung a couple of 4-1 wins over the Coyotes back in the early part of November both in Arizona and back at home. This is the third and final meeting between the teams.

Gameday prediction…
Don’t expect the Jets to overlook this one even with the Blues coming up on the schedule. They’ve been too dinged up and don’t be surprised if a couple of players who are filling in for the walking wounded are eager to prove they deserve longer looks with the main club. (Look at you Petan) .. Jets win 4-1.
