The Jets deserved a better fate last night against the St. Louis Blues but didn’t get it in a 2-0 loss. 24 hours later the Jets had more of the same for St. Louis, but this time they were able to crack the code of Blues defending and picked up a 4-0 win.
What might get a bit overlooked is the fact that Connor Hellebuyck picked up a 21 save shutout, his second of the season.
Feels good to see the Jets back in the W column right? Overall a decent weekend and had it not been for a stellar Carter Hutton performance on Saturday, this could have been a magnificent weekend for the Jets.
What did you like? What didn’t you care for? Is your faith restored in the team or are you going to remain cautiously optimistic? Let us know in the comments below or on our Twitter feed!

Matchups are limited to 5-on-5 situations. Tile size is scaled by Time On Ice and colour is scaled by adjusted Expected Goals differential. Blue represents a home team advantage and red represents a road team advantage.

PLAYERS OF THE GAME

For Winnipeg: Josh Morrissey – Fantastic night for the defenseman. Shut down any forward he was up against (with help from Jacob Trouba of course) and added a goal and a sweet looking assist.
For St. Louis: Vladimir Tarasenko – No points, but four shots on goal, a couple of breakaways and he was dangerous all night.

NEXT FLIGHT

The Jets head right back out on the road as they take on the Nashville Predators on Tuesday. It’s the start of a three game road trip before the Christmas break.
