JN Flight Plan: Winnipeg Jets At Minnesota Wild
Ever since the Winnipeg Jets got the better of the Minnesota Wild in the 2018 playoffs, the Wild replied by pretty much dominating their regular season series the following season.
The Wild have had their share of injuries lately as they recently lost @Jason Tucker to injury as he joins @Mikko Koivu, @Joel Eriksson Ek and @Greg Pateryn who are all currently on the shelf. You won’t find the Jets having too much sympathy for the Wild and their latest injury issues as the Jets have lost @Andrew Copp and@Mathieu Perreault over the past week joining @Bryan Little, @Dmitry Kulikov and @Mark Letestu.

Last Wild Game
As you’d expect from the Minnesota Wild and Arizona Coyotes, it was an absolute scoring bonanza as both teams went ham in the third period, trading five goals back and forth in the first 5:23 of the final frame. The Wild though managed to pull away and steal an 8-5 win in Glendale.

Fun Wild Facts…
- Zach Parise leads the Wild in goals, power play goals (five) and shots. He ranks second on the team with three game winning goals GWG. He has 16 points (10-6=16) in last 18 games played.
- Ryan Suter is on a five game point streak (1-6=7) and had 15 points (2-13=15) in last 17 games played.
What They’re Saying…
The Wild have just two playoff series victories over the past decade despite a six-year post-season run. Of course, making the playoffs would be a huge boost for a fan base that’s used to mediocrity, but working towards the long-term goal of playoff stability has to be the team’s priority.
What Exactly Is the Minnesota Wild’s Identity The Season? – The Hockey News
This is obviously a massive blow for the Wild. Zucker currently ranks second on the team, behind only Eric Staal, with 24 points in 34 games this season. He’s played an integral role in generating quality scoring chances for the Wild all season, and his absence could very well have a significant impact on Minnesota’s offense.

Last Jets Game
The Jets as they are wont to do, started slow yet again and finished even worse against a Blackhawks club that had played the night before against Colorado, but didn’t seem to show it in a 4-1 victory against the Jets. Patrick Kane was a factor in all four scoring plays for Chicago with three helpers and a goal.

Fun Jets Facts…
- The Jets are 5-3-1 against Central division opponents this season and 13-7-1 against the Western Conference overall.
- @Tucker Poolman scored his second goal of the season on Thursday, which establishes a career high. It also ended a 28-game goalless streak. Poolman had already established career highs with 10 assists and 12 points.
- Six players have played games for the Jets and in the AHL for the Manitoba Moose this season, including three that are on the Jets active roster – @Logan Shaw, @Joona Luoto, and @Mason Appleton. @Jansen Harkins was recalled by the Jets earlier this week, but has yet to make his NHL debut which is also what has happened with @Michael Spacek, @Nelson Nogier, and @Cameron Schilling were also recalled by the Jets at times earlier this season, but didn’t see any NHL action.
What We’re Saying…
But the problem in saying that they haven’t won a game in their last three on the road as they are 0-2-1. It’s also not like Minnesota has been overly kind to them either as the Jets are 1-6-0 in their past seven trips to Minnesota and have been outscored 24-12 in the seven games.
